Observance of Birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day

Birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day was observed in Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology with due fervor, enthusiasm and solemnity on 17ft March 2019. On this occasion a discussion meeting was held at the Creative Hub of the University. It was presided over by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Quazi Mafizur Rahman. Valiant freedom fighter Mujibur Rahman Dilu, Deputy Director of Shanto-mariam Foundation, U Col Abdus Salam Mian (Retd), Director, Training & Student Counseling, Prof. Yasmeen Ahmed,
Director, IQAC and Head of the Dept Govt and Politics and valiant freedom fighter Prof.Dr.Zarran Khan, Acting Dean, Management and General Studies and Head of the Dept Bangla spoke on the life and works of Bangabandhu. Mr. Firose Ahmed Iqbal recited self composed poem on this occasion. The discussion meeting was conducted by Lt Col Abdus Salam Mian (Retd), Director, TI & SC.

The discussion meeting was followed by prize distribution to the Child artists for their art works depicting the theme on Bangabandhu and independence struggle of Bangladesh. Dr.Ahsanul Kabir,Hon’ble Vice Chaiflnan, Shanto-Mariam Foundation, Prof. Dr. Quazi Mafizur Rahman, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Shanto-Mariam University, Prof. Shamsun Nahar, Treasurer, Dr.’Musharat Shabnam, Director, Shanto-Mariam Academyof Creative Technology and valiant freedom fighter Mujibur Rahman Dilu, Deputy Director, Shanto-Mariam Foundation distributed prizes to the winners of the competition. Finally a Doa Mahfil was conducted by Mr. Ishaq, Head of the Dept of Islamic Studies.
