Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology is Bangladesh’s first design and cultural University. One of the five faculties of the university is Fine and Performing Arts. There are three departments under this faculty. The three departments are Fine Arts, Music and Dance. The students of this faculty are no doubt engaged to build their career and contribute in the cultural arena to enrich the country with their creativity and performance. The departments ensure quality education and the best possible logistic support to continue with study period in a very natural and artistic environment in the campus. Bangladesh is a developing and over-populated country, but it is also blessed with an abundance of diverse talents. If those talents can be brought up to date with the assistance of modern techno-based education, and also be allied to our traditional culture, they can be transformed into skilled human resources, and help Bangladesh take its place, and play a major role, as one of the leading nations of the world. The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts has been designed to satisfy individual choices of people seeking baccalaureate and graduate degrees with a wide range of knowledge and skills covering the areas of Fine Arts, Music and Dance. The history and tradition of Fine Arts, Music and Dance in our country is vast and rich. The artists of Fine Arts, Music and Dance of our country have a strong and admirable image and have been successful to represent Bangladesh globally. After successful completion of academic studies, the students Department of Fine arts, Music and Dance would be able to build their career as BCS Education, Freelance Artist, Teacher, Typographer, Graphic Illustrator, Advertising Executive, Animator, Art Director, Music Director, Dance Director, Set Designer, Film, Television and Beater Producer, Choreographer, Playback Singer, Music and Dance Composer and Audio Engineer. Bangladesh Shishu Academy and Shilpakala Academy are the biggest workplaces for the students of this faculty.
