Rules of Campus

All employees, faculty, staff, administrators and students of Shanto- Mariam University of Creative Technology are requested to abide by rules to place their professional loyalty with the University. A violation of rules necessitate disciplinary action by a member of staff, HoD, Dean, Proctor or Director of Students Affairs or all together.
  • Students are issued with Identification card ID which must be worn and displayed at all times inside of the University campus, Library, Computer Lab or other concerned places with pride.
  • Lending an ID card for any purpose to anyone, failure to present it in front of authority or falsification or even alternation is strictly prohibited.
  • Unregistered / invalid students or alumni carrying student ID cards, must use the entry in the front office and identify current status.
  • Every individual regardless- students, faculties, and alumni entering through the entry in the front office must tap their ID at the validation kiosk or finger tap the biometric attendance machine in & out time.
  • In case of nonfunctional ID cards of students or employees, must inform the concerned office. After the verification, authority will provide through a process.
  • All students sitting for examination must produce and display their Exam Admit Cards. Unfair means adopted in the exam hall will be severely dealt with as per rules and regulations of the University.
  • Any person seen acting suspiciously I , or around any of the organization’s premises must be reported to the Security personal immediately and suspicious stuff or objects must be similarly treated. Do not approach or to such an object.
  • Strict discipline will be maintained at all times in the classroom.
  • All property and materials belonging to the university must be treated with utmost care.
  • Where any property or material belonging to the university are destroyed or misplaced, the student responsible for the act will be held liable for their replacement.
  • Other than the scheduled time-table periods, students are not permitted to use the studios and laboratories unless prior consent has been given by the academic staff or management or building authority.
  • Notice Boards should be checked daily.
  • Should extra consultation be required with a member of teaching staff, one day’s notice must be given.
  • All individual property is the responsibility by the student and made available for examination by the External Examination / Verifier.
  • No books, journals or periodicals from the Library or Laboratories may be taken out of the premises without documentation. No phone calls for students will be taken, although in an emergency, a message will be noted and passed on.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the University premises.
  • Mobile phones and gadgets must be switched off during classes and exams.
  • The consumption of food is only permitted in designated areas.
  • Students should not use staff toilets.
  • Any student remaining absent for consecutive three days in the class will be notified to the parents or guardian.
  • No political activity of any kind of will be permitted in the University Campuses.
  • Drug abuse of any kind will result in instant expulsion. Matter of drug addiction can also be informed to the Proctor / Director of Students Affair immediately.
  • Students found to be involved in any kind of terrorist or anti state activities, will be punished as per existing law.
