A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Jamuna Group and Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) on August 23, 2026 (Sunday) at conference room of SMUCT, Dhaka; with the aim of strengthening industry-academia collaboration and creating greater opportunities for students through academic, professional and corporate engagement.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by distinguished representatives from both organizations. On behalf of Jamuna Group, Mr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Head of HR and Mr. Imran Hossain, Payroll In-Charge were present. Representing Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT), the ceremony was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), SMUCT, eminent artist Professor Mustafizul Haque; the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Shah-e-Alam; Registrar, Dr. Par Moshiur Rahman; and Treasurer & Head, Department of Business Administration, Professor Dr. Behzad Noor. Senior faculty members, program coordinators and University officials were also present at the event.
In their respective speeches, the distinguished guests expressed their appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of closer collaboration between academia and industry. They expressed hope that the MoU would create meaningful opportunities for students, including exposure to the corporate environment, professional development, practical learning, career opportunities and other collaborative activities. The speakers also expressed their commitment to continuing and expanding such initiatives in the future for the mutual benefit of the university, its students and the corporate sector.
The event concluded with the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, followed by an exchange of floral greetings between representatives of Jamuna Group and Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology.
