Aklima Atika Konika, a student of the 11th semester in the Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, proudly represented Bangladesh on the prestigious global stage of the 72nd Miss World 2025 competition, held in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The opening ceremony took place on May 10, and the grand finale was held on May 31.
With only about a week to prepare, Aklima showcased her dedication and resilience as she participated in a range of events, including Heritage Walks, Talent Competitions, Cultural Showcases, Sports Activities, and the Quarter Final. Her journey was facilitated by the Azra Mahmood Talent Camp (AMTC), which played a pivotal role in her transition from being crowned Miss World Bangladesh to competing on one of the world’s most prestigious stages.
Although she did not take home the crown, Aklima’s journey transcended traditional notions of success. Her elegance, authenticity, and grace earned her widespread admiration and applause from both national and international audiences.
In addition to her Miss World achievements, Aklima was crowned Face of Bangladesh 2024 and went on to compete in Face of Asia 2024 in Korea, where she received a Sponsor Award from YOU & I Holdings.
