Industrial Tour to Nalin Tex Ltd.

Industry visits are an essential part of the academic curriculum in most of the graduate courses. Being a part of interactive learning; such educational visits give students a major exposure to real working environments along with practical perspective of a theoretical concept relevant to their domain. In addition to that, industrial visits bridge the widening gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure to identify the inputs and outputs for the different business operations and process perform at the workplace.

As a partial requirement of the academic part, Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Dept. of Apparel Manufacturing Management and Technology organized an industrial visit to “Nalin Tex Ltd”, Uttarkhan, Dhaka on March 28, 2022. Students of 8th semester has visited the factory named Nalin Tex Ltd is one of the leading readymade garment manufacturing factories in Bangladesh. The main objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to the students about contemporary issues of apparel industries. The tour was scheduled to visit different areas of the factory. The production and operation team of the Nalin Tex Ltd thoroughly explained the whole production process and later on, conducted an interactive question-answer session with the students. Finally, Mr. Abdul Hai, Assistant Director (Placement) and faculty member; Dept. of Apparel Manufacturing Management and Technology, SMUCT appreciated the sincere and continual cooperation of Nalin Tex Team to make this visit as a successful experience.

The visit was successful in terms of the information and experience gathered on the process of manufacturing, work environment, physical facilities, program and management of a large and busy garments factory.
