Welcoming the Newly Admitted Students, Summer’26, BBA Program….
The Department of Business Administration under the Faculty of Business at Shanto-Mariam
University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) organized a Freshers’ Reception for students of the
Summer-2026, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) intake. The event took place on Tuesday,
June 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the University Auditorium.
The reception aims to warmly welcome newly admitted students and introduce them to the
university’s academic environment, faculty members, and institutional values. The introductory
session provided an overview of the BBA program, academic expectations, student support services,
and opportunities for personal and professional development.
The program was graced by Professor Dr. Md. Shah-E-Alam, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, as the Chief
Guest. Professor Dr. Behzad Noor, Head of the Department of Business Administration, presided
over the event as the Chairperson. In the session Dr Par Mosiur Rahman, Registrar, SMUCT, Md.
Golam Rabbani, Proctor, SMUCT were remain present & delivered their valuable speeches to the
freshers. The chairperson of the session discusded about the ongoing OBE curriculum & its
implications towards ensuring the industry driven education.
The Freshers’ Reception was organized by the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of
Business, with the support of IVY Machinery Limited and Sarah Travels BD as co-sponsors.
University authorities expressed their enthusiasm in welcoming the new batch of BBA students and
encouraged all freshers to participate in the event. The reception is expected to foster a sense of
belonging, inspire academic excellence, and help students begin their university journey with
confidence and motivation. The session was concluded with a magnificent cultural event.
