“Seminar on Fintech and AI on the Transformation of Banking Sector”

An important seminar titled ‘Reshaping the Banking Sector in Bangladesh: The Role of Fintech and AI’ was held at Shanto-Mariam University on the modernization of Bangladesh’s banking sector and the technology-based future.

The seminar was organized on Monday morning at the university auditorium by a joint initiative of the Department of Business Administration and Computer Science and Engineering. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank Ltd., spoke as the main discussant at the seminar.

In his speech, he said that the use of Fintech and artificial intelligence in the banking sector worldwide is increasing rapidly, which is making financial transactions faster, safer and customer-friendly. In particular, he called on the students to prepare themselves to lead the banking sector of the future by acquiring international standard technology skills.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the University Board of Trustees, renowned painter Professor Mostafizul Haque, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shah-e-Alam, Registrar Dr. Par Mashiur Rahman, Head of the Department of Business Administration Professor Dr. Behzad Noor, Head of the Department of CSE Associate Professor Faisal Imran, General Manager of Pubali Bank and Head of Dhaka Central Region Abu Lais Md. Shamsuzzaman, Deputy GM Kamruzzaman Khan and AGM and Head of Branch of Shantinagar Branch Ujjal Kumar Shaha, along with university teachers, officials and a large number of students of the departments.
