Professor
Prof. Dr. Hasnan Ahmed, FCMA is a distinguished academic and professional in the fields of Accounting, Finance, and Corporate Governance with extensive teaching, research, and administrative experience. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and has held several senior leadership roles, including serving as Pro-Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) at United International University. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at the School of Accountancy, Universiti Utara Malaysia (AACSB accredited), a Professor of Accounting at United International University, and has contributed as Director of Accreditation, IQAC, as well as Head of the Department of Business at the Asian University of Bangladesh. Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy Director at the Bangladesh Institute of Management (Ministry of Industries) and worked as an Economic Officer/Financial Analyst in various international development projects.
His research interests focus on corporate governance, disclosure and transparency, education system development, performance appraisal, strategic management, quality of education, and environmental reporting. He has published and co-authored numerous papers in reputed international and national journals, with his works widely cited in Bangladesh, Malaysia, the UK, and beyond.
In addition to his academic contributions, Prof. Ahmed is actively engaged in professional organizations. He is a Fellow Member (FCMA) of ICMAB and a Founding Director of the Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO). Through his leadership, scholarship, and dedication, Prof. Ahmed has made significant contributions to higher education, corporate governance, and professional development both in Bangladesh and abroad.
