On Saturday, September 10th 2022, the department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology has organized a ‘Graduates Farewell Dinner’ for its 33rd batch at the Blossom Buffet restaurant, Uttara. It was a grand ceremony to bid farewell to the former students, now fresh graduates, with both a heavy and a happy heart.
All the faculty members of the said department were present in the program, along with Prof. Shamsun Nahar, Vice Chancellor (in-charge) was the chief guest, Arch. Hosne Ara Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Design & Technology, Dr. Par Moshiur Rahman , Registrar ; Lily Islam , Director, Public Relation were also there as a Special Guest.
Additional Head, Farjana Mita of the respective department started the program with her welcome speech, she thanked the SMUCT authorities to attend this event. Mr. Rajib Das, coordinator also addressed the students and give few instructions for their professional life. Engr. Reashad Bin Kabir was the moderator of the program. Tasnim Noumee & Mahmudul Walid students of this batch anchored the entire session.
In the discussion session, Additional Head, Farjana Mita shared her personal experiences and give the guidelines to the new graduates. She also encouraged students to get admit into MBA in Product & Fashion Merchandizing program of this university.
Engr. Md. Matiar Rahman, Head in charge of FDT & AMMT also shared his working experiences to the fresh graduates.
Other guests motivated the students with their inspiring and mesmerizing speeches.
One of our alumni named SM Arif Faruque Emon, AGM Marketing & Merchandizing, GMS group from 1st batch shared his practical experiences in the professional life.
From the students, Jahid shared his personal experiences during his 4 years study time in the university .He was grateful to the teachers of this respective department for showing him a moral and ethical path as well as technological guidelines for being a graduate.
Another student Rafjan Jani Omi shared his memories and how teachers were given them proper and technical support during Covid-19 period.
The second session included the distribution of crests .After that the students, teachers and the guests gathered in a decorated dining hall for the majestic dinner.
The program ended with photo-shoot and vote of thanks.
