A freshers’ reception has been organised on Thursday, 10th March, 2022 at the permanent campus of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology by the students of Law department in order to welcome the newly admitted students (30th batch) in the Department of Law. The guests of the event were Honourable Dean of the faculty of Management and General Studies, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Halim Sheikh, respected Joint Registrar (Admin), Associate Professor and Head of the Business Department, Dr. Masud Al Noor. The respected faculty members have also been present in the event including respected Head of the Department of Law, Muhammad Nural Hoque, respected coordinator of the department, Md. Riad Hasan and respected Lecturer of the department, Syeda Tanjila Ahad.
The senior most students and the respective CRs of all the remaining batches have taken part in organising this event. At first they welcomed the students by giving them flowers. The event has been hosted by the CR of 20th batch, Rezwan Rakib Chowdhury. Syeda Tanjila Ahad, Lecturer of the Law department has delivered the welcome speech. Later, Dr. Md. Masud Al Noor delivered a great motivational speech. Following his speech, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Halim Sheikh delivered a speech which motivated the students deeply. In this speech, he talked about the sincerity of legal professions, the importance of studying law with utmost passion and dedication and above all, the necessity of being a good human being. During the event, Arfiha Khan Shomapty, a student of 28th batch, Md. Omar Musa, a student of 26th batch performed poem recitation. Besides, Shariful Islam Asif, a student of 25th batch, Rezwan Rakib Chowdhury, a student of 20th batch shared their experiences of studying at this university in the Law department and provided their valuable advices to their juniors. Afterwards, respected coordinator Md. Riad Hasan delivered a great speech by which he motivated the students immensely. At last, respected Head of the department, Muhammad Nural Hoque gave his speech where he talked about this journey, shared his valuable experiences.
Finally, the event has been closed by providing snacks to the students, the guests and the teachers. Overall, it has been a great pleasure for all the students and teachers of Law department to have this successful event.
