MSS in Sociology and Anthropology
The MSS in Sociology and Anthropology programme is designed to provide students advanced knowledge and skills in the study of sociology and anthropology subject area. Students will be trained to use critical thinking in understanding of social phenomena and will gain firm grounding in the theories, research techniques and analysis in sociology and anthropology. The students will be required to produce a thesis in the final semester. The programme has a strong analytical, empirical and comparative orientation. Its focus is on developing and testing theories that engage with real world complications. Special strengths of the programme include the statistical analysis of social surveys, social demography, collection, management and analysis of complex datasets.
