Admission Requirements
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR BSS (HONS) IN SOCIOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY:
- The students must have a minimum of Second Division or GPA of 2.50 or equivalent grade at every level of SSC and HSC or equivalent public examinations. If in any of the two examinations, the GPA is at least 2.00 minimum but below 2.50, then in both the examinations, the total GPA must be of 6.00 minimum.
- The wards of Freedom Fighters may have total GPA of 5.00 in SSC and HSC.
- Students with Edexcel/Cambridge IGCSE background must have at least five ‘O’ level examinations and two ‘A’ level examinations. In the above two examinations, out of seven subjects, ‘B’ grade or 4.00 GPA must be in four subjects and ‘C’ grade or 3.00 GPA must be in the rest of the three subjects (A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2 and E = 1).
MSS IN SOCIOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY: (1 YEAR AND 2 YEARS TRACK)
- A Bachelor degree (Hons) in Sociology/Anthropology or in any Social Science discipline will be required for admission into 1 year MSS in Sociology & Anthropology programme.
- Students who have a Bachelor degree in other disciplines (including degree pass course) will be considered for admission into two years MSS in Sociology & Anthropology programme.
- Students must have minimum CGPA 2.00 or 40% marks at the Bachelor level.
- Students who have below GPA 2.5 or have 3rd division in SSC or HSC are not allowed for the admission.
