It is my pleasure to inform all the people, all over the world that, the Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh has a very rich and established Fine Arts Department. The Department of Fine Arts started it’s journey from the year 2003.
The valiant freedom fighter, an eminent educationist, a most dynamic personnel and the founder Chairman of the above mentioned University Late Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto dreamt and established this University along with the Department of Fine Arts and also other departments. The BFA Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) and the Masters of Fine Arts Degree Programs are offered from this Department.
The course curriculum of this department is very much relevant and being associated to develop and build up the enrichment of career opportunity of future life of students to this discipline and the field of art activities as well as the job opportunities..
This department has well trained and highly qualified teachers and Research Supervisors who teach and guide the students very sincerely and adequately in proper ways providing most modern and newly introduced methods, techniques and styles within very cordial and affectionate feelings and behaviors to students. The facilities are also provided by the department such as awarding scholarships to all the admitted students during study periods as well as 50% admission and tuition fees are also waived.
It comes to my notice that, in several times students of the Department of Fine Arts have brought honor for the University and the Nations of Bangladesh through achieving awards and prizes from different organizations at home and abroad. They have also very good reputations in practicing the creative Artworks. It is remarkably mentioned that in bad pandemic situation all the classes of the department and University taken in the Online Platform to be kept continuation of the academic programs, studies and educational atmosphere.
