The curriculum offered in Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) Drawing & Painting is designed to give the students a diverse and broad -based knowledge in the subject whilst not losing sight of the fact that every artist is ‘a small business’ and should be aware of modern business practices . Emphasis is placed on both the theoretical and practical aspects and one of the basic philosophy of the course is that good practice requires good theory and vice versa.

Before being awarded the BFA (Hons) degree, students must fulfill all the requirements of the program like common core modules, degree core modules and specialist modules. The common core modules form the part of all degree programs at Shanto-Mariam University of creative Technology which focus on knowledge and skills on language, communication, business principles. Students gain the knowledge and skills in the different aspects of fine arts in the degree core modules and specialist modules. The BFA (Hons) programme offers the opportunity to study in one specialist area in Drawing & Painting.

Students will have intense studio experience where they will cultivate creative talents in visual arts combining theory and practice.
