Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology is a privately supported, co-educational institution, established in 2003 with a mission to provide high quality education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels relevant to the needs of a dynamic and changing world at the most reasonable cost. Shanto-Mariam University aims not only to provide degrees to students but also to equip them with the means to become the productive members of the community who continue the practice of lifelong learning.

Architecture department at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology is a unique combination of art and science of modern built environment. Our faculty comes from a diverse background where each of them are  adding unique strength to bring out the best results. Our dynamic creative team is fully geared to keep up with the pace of ever-changing context of the world. I feel honored to be leading and facilitating such a team.

Our focus is to create self-confidence and creativity within the students. We follow combination of  both  traditional and modern teaching methodology to make sure that the  students are aware of architectural history as well as  current practices . Our department believes in outcome base education where teachers and students are working hard to be innovative and sensitive towards the future demands. Our department realizes its social responsibilities and  encourage students and teachers to research and participate in events to promote awareness regarding carbon foot print, plastics hazards, water management, climate factors and make students eligible to design buildings with sustainability.  

The department is trying the best for establishing an international network with universities for collaboration of both academic and research purpose. Our curriculum and teaching methodologies are dynamic and are fully capable to undertake modern day challenges. Our focus is also to establish a link between academic and professional commitments.

Bachelor in  Architecture program are customized to produce professionals to be  adaptive to the current challenges of the modern day environment. We strive and hope that our students become active contributors to the design environment of this society and the world at large through their innovative ideas.
