I welcome to all from the department of English which has the same year of inception as the Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology in 2003 by the vision of education enthusiast, Late Md. Imamul Kabir Shanto to expand job oriented creative and cultural education in the country. As an early 20’s pioneer design University, English department has been home to some of the most prominent names in the field of private education institution.
We offer an opportunity to explore the English language and literature in a truly unique setting. The department offers degrees at B.A. Honors and M.A. Masters in English literature with special waiver and some scholarship facilities and giving attention to our individual student at classroom and also off classroom when required.

B.A. Honors program brings together three different and related areas of study as Literature, Linguistics and Communicative English. Students are offered firstly skill based courses like – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing that enhance the ability of understanding to use English language. We impart not only English language and literature but also moral, ethical and professional values and help to build students personality.
