📍 About the Library

The SMUCT Library began its journey in 2003 and has evolved alongside the university’s academic growth. Its transition to the permanent campus at Uttara marked a new era of expansion and accessibility.

In 2022, the library relocated to the heart of the campus and now occupies four meticulously designed floors (1500 sq. ft.) in the western section (Lift-08, Room-1804), strategically positioned between academic and administrative blocks.

💻 Automated Library System

SMUCT Library operates as a fully online-based automated university library using the IEMS Integrated Library Management System.

🌍 Online Access

Users can access the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) from anywhere, check borrowing status, and track books using their IEMS User ID.

The library hosts a diverse collection of printed works alongside premium digital resources from globally recognized publishers. Through UGC Digital Library (UDL), SMUCT subscribes to Wiley.

Additional free resources include Project Gutenberg, Open Library, Internet Archive, LibriVox, BookBoon, Bartleby, and more.

Special facilities include the Bangladesh History & Liberation War Corner, E-Resource Browsing Lab (05 computers), New Arrival Corner, Newspaper Section, Teachers’ Area, and dedicated reading spaces.
